Schatzie
More About Schatzie
To call Schatzie a “lapdog” would be to describe Elvis as “a singer.” The description is accurate, but it doesn’t capture the full essence of life and love. It doesn’t begin to describe her love for curling up in a human lap, and for looking deeply into her human’s eyes. While she stares into your eyes, she takes her paw and gently pats your chin if you look away and attempt to watch TV. Schatzie is reminding you that you are in the midst of a mind meld and you must not break the connection.
Schatzie is a lean and lithe little lady, with a happy demeanor and not many demands (except for the mind meld thing). She happily lets you know when she needs to go outside, and her joy at each meal (which she eats in her crate) is infectious. Schatzie enjoys the companionship of other dogs, but she would probably be equally happy as a lone dog — as long as she has a welcoming lap to cuddle in. Cats are not welcome in Schatzie’s world.
Schatzie’s long-neglected dental needs, along with a spay, will require an extended stay at her foster’s home, probably until after Christmas. She should be ready, however, to celebrate the new year in her new home!
