Douglas

As an energetic one year old puppy, Douglas loves all the people he meets! He gets along with all the dogs in the house and tolerates the cats in his foster home too…well he wanted to play with the cats but since they let him know that it’s THEIR house not his, he just ignores them now.

Douglas even plays well with children and only wants to meet the dogs next door with a wagging tail. He does growl at the dogs on TV! But he’s not afraid of storms.

He enjoys lots of different kinds of toys and plays fetch pretty well. Douglas enjoys belly rubs too! He sleeps in his crate without any issue. He also enjoys car rides!

He loves to be outdoors and walks ok on a leash. He does not need a fenced in yard but I’m sure he’d love one as he loves to just sit in the sun (after he’s sniffed every surface of the yard of course!) He does want to chase after birds and squirrels but listens to “no” and “leave-it”. He doesn’t seem to be a digger.

Douglas still needs help with remembering to potty outside but training treats and constant supervision are helping. He stays dry in his crate at night and in his play yard for a few hours at a time. He will need someone who is willing to continue to work with him on not marking inside the house.
