More About Acer
Hello everyone! My name is Acer and I’m a 7 week old little boy that is the cutest, funniest, and most loving little boy you will ever know. Now that my sound like I’m bragging but foster mom and dad agree with me so it just has to be true.
I’ve had quite an adventure already. I was born in Connecticut and my first sight was the great lady that brought me into this world. She was really nice and made sure that I had all the momma’s milk I needed, made sure I was clean and dry, and took very good care of me and my sisters. When I was six weeks old, my momma and sisters traveled ALL THE WAY from Connecticut to Illinois to be with my foster mom and dad. I was SO GOOD with all the car changes and my overnight at Aunt Sandy Y’s house in Pennsylvania. I was particularly good on my car rides from Pennsylvania to Illinois.
When we finally got to Illinois, I greeted my foster mom with lots of snuggles and kisses. I got to curl up in her arms all night long and I really loved that.
I’ve learned a lot of new things in the past week!!!! I’ve learned that I LOVE toys!!! I’m still trying to figure out those nylabones but I know how to play with stuffies. They are so much fun to pull all around the house and I love to pounce on them. My sisters and I have learned how to play tug with the stuffies.
I’ve learned to take small sips from the water bowl and not go swimming in it…talk about a COLD PLUNGE!
Last night foster mom decided it was time for us to sleep in individual crates and not in a puppy pile. I had a nice thick blanket and I was quite comfy and curled up and went to sleep like a real good boy. I didn’t make a peep until 6:30 the next morning.
I’m learning to go potty on a potty pad….I’m a work in progress but I’m doing really good for a 7 week old boy. Foster mom said that a 3 pound boy has no business going outside when it’s 10 degrees and snowing.
I’m also learning what pieces of kibble are. Foster mom has been grinding up my kibble and adding water to it for my 3 meals a day. Yesterday she put some kibble on a blanket for all of us. It was a lot of fun to play with so my sisters and I played hockey with the little pieces and chased them all over the floor. I did manage to crunch a couple of pieces and it wasn’t too bad. Foster mom says I’ve got a ways to go before I can manage a dish of tiny kibble bits. Foster mom says chewing on kibble is much better than puppy biting her fingers and toes but I’m not so sure about that.
Come back and check on me in a couple of weeks. I’m not ready for adoption because I get my first shots in a couple of weeks. After that, I’ll be ready for adoption and would love to live in your house and be your best boy.
