Paddy Mac is amazing, such a handsome boy, with a winsome, all-Cairn personality. He is active, playful, intelligent, seeks interaction with his people and with other dogs, while being respectful of other dogs who don’t wish to play. He is ferocious with toys can de-stuff in seconds but is also a sweet cuddle-bug in spare moments of rest. He particularly likes being free in a secure garden, investigating, chasing or being chased, ridding the garden of chattering birds, and hopping into laps for a quick snuggle or lovie, then down again for more action. He also loves walkies with his people. Paddy Mac is crate trained, but prefers to sleep with his people or snuggle beside them on the sofa. He will be under evaluation for another week or so and also to get his dental completed, before he is ready for adoption, but if you are looking for a senior boy with pep in his step… Paddy Mac might be your boy. UPDATE 4/18/2025: HiYa.. I’m Paddy Mac and available for adoption! Foster Mom has the scoop: Paddy Mac is a senior but you’d be amazed by his energy, especially when running to investigate the garden, chasing birds and diving into shrubs & plants hunting for lizards or whatever he might catch, he’s all Cairn with a high prey drive! He’s fast and active, plays chase and roughhouse with a housemate but respectful of the house curmudgeon. He’s a lover and a lap snuggler, will sleep in crates, dog beds but much prefers night snuggles with his people. He is somewhat protective till he meets people, then you are a friend forever. Only real negative is he is a marker, inside and outside. We are working on this but not sure he will ever be house safe, and wears a belly band when eyes not on him. All tile here, so just have to watch furniture, drapes, walls, but just know this is an issue. Other than that, he is one of the sweetest seniors I’ve every fostered in 25 years. Likely no cats or pocket pets will work, but if you want a loving companion, smart, active and adorable.. Paddy Mac is A++ See photos attached, he is precious!
