More About Tulip
Hi Everyone! My name is Tulip and I would like to introduce myself.
My momma was rescued by Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network and soon after I was born in Connecticut. A very nice lady, Arlene, helped deliver us and took very good care of us making sure we were healthy and got plenty of milk from our momma. When we were 6 weeks old, we, along with our mamma made a long journey to Illinois with a night’s stopover at Aunt Sandy Y’s house so our momma could get a good nights sleep and we could have a little snack before bedtime. The next morning we finished the last let of our journey and finally got to our foster home. I greeted my foster mom and dad with lots of kisses and settled down, with my littermates, on a nice lap for the rest of the night.
A lot of things have changed over the past week at foster mom and dad’s house. I’ve learned how to run and chase my brother and sisters. We have SO MUCH FUN! I’ve learned that TOYS ARE GREAT! I LOVE toys – all toys. Those nylabones aren’t nearly as much fun but foster mom keeps giving them to me when I’m trying to eat her fingers and toes. I LOVE playing tug with one of my siblings – or sometimes we all play tug at the same time.
I LOVE my ground kibble mixed with water. Foster mom puts little pieces of whole kibble on a blanket and I’ve learned how to crunch those little pieces! I do like to flip them all over the floor and then pounce on one and gobble it down.
Yesterday foster mom announced that we would be starting puppy pad training ….whatever! She said it’s way too cold and snowy for 7 week old puppies to go outside but we were old enough to start learning where to go potty. Well, I do have to admit that I’m not doing too bad doing my business on the puppy pad during free playtime where we get to run through the house and investigate. Today, I did really good making it to the puppy pad so foster mom was really proud of me.
Last night, for the first time, we had our own individual crates to sleep in all night. I cried for just a little bit as I missed my littermates but soon I laid down and slept all night. In the morning I was so happy, wagging my tail and kissing foster mom when she let me out of the crate. I was so happy I ran to a puppy pad and did my first pee of the day.
I’m not quite ready for adoption because I need my first shots on 1/20/25. After that I should be good to go. Get your apps in for me if you want a darling, happy, tail wagging, snuggly, kissy little girl to be your very own.
