Miss Blondie
More About Miss Blondie
Hey everyone – I’m Miss Blondie! I’m so, so grateful to Col. Potter because they literally saved my life! I was on my last day at a shelter being prepped for the Long Nap, but they found me and raced to swoop in and rescue me. Once with my foster family, it took me a while to learn that my name was “Blondie.” My foster mom kept calling me “Wonderful Dog” so it was a bit confusing. With the way my foster mom behaves, it seems she has no idea why I was at a shelter to begin with as the “Wonderful Dog” – which I think is a good thing? Anyway, I’m still adjusting to her resident dogs, but she assures me I will love them once I get comfortable and feel more secure. I feel happier and more comfortable every day, and I love, love, love to snuggle, or play fetch with the toys they luckily have just lying around my space. I really love my toys! Oh, and I love belly rubs too, which my foster family is all too happy to provide. I have never soiled in my own space (EWW) because that’s where I live with my toys – I have only ever gone outside. When I’m out on walks I love to go after the squirrels, so I probably should not go to a home with cats or small pets I might mistake as prey. While I’m so happy to be with my foster family, I would love someone of my own to snuggle with soon! More photos are available @MyTerrierTribe on Instagram.
Updates
UPDATE 12/17/2024: My last month has been very busy and interactive with my foster family! With the Holidays, I’ve met so many of my foster Mom and Dad’s family, and – not to brag – but everyone just LOVED me! I even went on runs with my foster family’s triathletes and had no issues keeping up with them (I did sleep afterwards though). And while I love all the extra foster family loving on me, I’m still not a fan of the resident dogs. The other dogs in the house still stress me out a bit at times, and my foster mom says I would probably be happiest as an only dog. I’m learning and I’m much less reactive to the resident dogs than when I arrived. Otherwise, my foster family (including the triathletes) say I’m a perfect girl. If you want a sweet girl who loves belly rubs, giving kisses, and especially playing ball, then I hope you’ll consider me. My paws are crossed that Santa will bring me my very own family for Christmas!
